Pipeline

Overview

A drag-and-drop Kanban board to track your content through every stage from draft to delivered.

What the Pipeline Does

The Pipeline gives you a visual workflow for managing content:

  • See all content organized by status in color-coded columns
  • Drag and drop cards to move content between stages
  • Set due dates and priorities to stay on schedule
  • Click any card to view details and edit metadata
  • Customize columns to match your workflow
  • Reorder columns by dragging them left or right
  • Track overdue content with the alert badge

Getting to the Pipeline

  1. From your Dashboard, click Pipeline in the sidebar
  2. Your Kanban board loads with all your content organized by status

Note: The Pipeline feature is available on Starter plan and above.


Understanding the Board

The Pipeline displays as a horizontal board with columns:

ColumnsEach column represents a workflow stage (Draft, Ready, Published, etc.)
CardsEach card is one piece of content
Color codingEach column has its own color for easy visual scanning
Count badgeShows how many items are in each column

Default Columns

Your Pipeline starts with these default columns:

  1. Draft (Slate) - Newly created content, cannot be moved or deleted
  2. Ready (Amber) - Content ready for review
  3. Published (Blue) - Content that's been published
  4. Delivered (Green) - Content delivered to clients or completed

Moving Content (Drag and Drop)

To change a content item's status:

  1. Click and hold any content card
  2. Drag it to a different column
  3. Release to drop it
  4. The status updates automatically

Visual feedback:

  • Cards tilt slightly when dragging
  • The target column highlights
  • A shadow shows where the card will land

Content Cards

Each card shows:

  • Title - The content's headline
  • Due date - If set, shown below the title (red if overdue)
  • Type badge - The content type (blog-post, article, etc.)
  • Priority indicator - Colored dot (green = low, amber = medium, red = high)
  • View button - Appears on hover to go to the full article

Click any card to open the detail dialog:

Changes save automatically when you make them.


Reordering Columns

Rearrange your workflow stages:

  1. Click and hold any column header (except Draft)
  2. Drag it left or right
  3. Release to set its new position
  4. The order saves automatically

Note: The "Draft" column is locked and cannot be moved.


Customizing Your Pipeline

Click Customize Pipeline in the top right to open the customizer:

Editing Existing Columns

  • Change name - Click the text field and type a new name
  • Change color - Select from 10 available colors (Slate, Amber, Blue, Red, Green, Purple, Pink, Indigo, Orange, Teal)
  • Delete column - Click the trash icon (moves all content to Draft)

Adding New Columns

  1. Enter a column name in the "Column name" field
  2. Select a color from the dropdown
  3. Click Add
  4. The new column appears in your staged changes

Applying Changes

  • All changes are staged until you click Apply Changes
  • The "Pending" badge shows how many changes are queued
  • Click Cancel to discard all changes

Reset to Defaults

  1. Click Reset to Defaults
  2. Confirm in the dialog
  3. All custom columns are removed, content moves to Draft

Tip: The customizer shows a summary of pending changes (columns to add, update, or delete).


Overdue Content Badge

If any content has a due date in the past:

  • A red "X Overdue" badge appears in the top right
  • The number shows how many items are past due
  • Overdue cards show their due date in red on the card

Priority Indicators

Each card shows a priority dot:

Set priority in the card detail dialog.


Viewing Full Content

Two ways to view the full article from Pipeline:

  1. From the card - Hover over any card and click the View button
  2. From the dialog - Click a card, then click View full article

Both take you directly to that content in the Library.
