Calendar (Beta)

Overview

Calendar gives you a single visual surface to plan, generate, and auto-publish content over time. Schedule once, and outwrite handles generation and delivery on the day you picked.

Open the Calendar

From the left sidebar, click Calendar. You'll see a monthly grid showing every scheduled, generating, and published post at a glance.

  • Use the arrows to move between months
  • Click Today to jump back to the current date
  • Days with scheduled content show colored status indicators

Scheduling a Day

Click any day on the calendar to open the scheduling panel on the right.

Choose a Topic

You have two ways to pick what to write about:

Type your own idea — enter a topic in the input field (e.g. "email marketing tips for small businesses") and press Enter. outwrite generates 5 title suggestions in different formats.

Pick from Suggested Topics — click "Or pick from your Suggested Topics" to expand the picker. Topics marked Cited have proven AI visibility. Click any topic to select it; titles generate immediately.

Pick a Title

After entering a topic, you'll see 5 AI-generated title options across different formats — how-to articles, listicles, question-based titles, definitive guides, and benefit-focused headlines.

Click any title to proceed, or click Use my own title to keep your exact wording.

  • Published list — recent posts with links to the live articles.

The 20-Minute Month

Here's how to schedule a full month of content in under 20 minutes:

  1. Open Calendar on any future day
  2. Use a Suggested Topic (these are pre-researched for AI visibility)
  3. Pick a generated title
  4. Use default settings — your Brand Kit handles voice, sitemap handles links
  5. Click Schedule

Each article takes roughly 30 seconds when you're using Suggested Topics with defaults. Schedule four per week and you're done in well under an hour.

Pairing Calendar with AI Tracking

Calendar gets dramatically more powerful when combined with the Tracking dashboard:

  1. Tracking identifies prompts where competitors are cited and you aren't
  2. Topics turns those gaps into article ideas
  3. Calendar schedules them — content generates and publishes automatically
  4. Tracking measures whether your new content moves the citation needle

Set it up once and it runs on autopilot.

Pro Tips

  • Batch your scheduling — knock out a whole month at once instead of day-by-day
  • Prioritize "Cited" topics — they have proven AI visibility
  • Set up integrations first — auto-publishing only works if a destination is connected
  • Use Brand Kits — consistent voice without configuring it every time
  • Schedule at least 24 hours ahead — gives the system time to generate and review before publishing
  • Edit before publish — items in Ready status can be opened and edited from the Library before going live
  • Retry failed items — click any Failed item to see the error and retry
  • Reschedule by deleting — delete the scheduled item and create a new one on a different day
  • Generate without integrations — content lands in your Library even if no publish destination is configured
